About Marika:
I am a UK-trained mental health nurse and therapist with over 20 years of experience working in mental health. Since moving to New Zealand in 2008, I’ve had the privilege of working across all levels of the mental health system, from tertiary settings in adult acute, forensic, and older persons’ wards, to community-based services and primary care.
I’ve lived and worked in the Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, and Waikato regions, and since 2020, I’ve been proud to call Canterbury my home. My diverse background has given me a broad understanding of how mental health support can look at every stage of care.
I’m now bringing this experience into private practice, with minimal wait times currently available.
I work with clients aged 13 years and over, tailoring therapy to everyone’s unique needs and goals.
A Little About My Philosophy
I am deeply passionate about helping people recognise their true potential. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing clients feel empowered, build resilience, and begin living their best lives. If you’re going through a difficult time, worried about someone you care about, or simply ready to focus on your own wellbeing, I’d love to hear from you.
